Just the way I like it.

It is call “Japanese pancake”, and you can making it for your taste.

Enjoy adding meats, seafood or vegetables for personal specification dish.

For those of you not familiar with okonomiyaki (literally = as you like it, grilled) it’s often described as a “Japanese pancake” or “Japanese pizza”. A cross between an omelette and a pancake, this savoury treat can be made with a variety of fillings. Difficult to find in Japanese restaurants (a few in Vancouver try, but they are far from great) okonomiyaki is SUPER easy to make.

A friend recently hosted an okonomiyaki-making do, where I was introduced to Michelle (who blogs about her food every day – crazy!) Michelle kindly created an album of photos from the evening. So, if you are interested in making okonomiyaki, follow her pictures, and an old blog posting of mine for the recipe, and you’re set to go with a quick, easy, variable, and CHEAP Japanese meal.

Happy forking!!
